Caterer

I just had a meeting with the caterer today. Now comes the daunting task of choosing the menu and trying to fit it all within the budget. It all seems pretty overwhelming. I don't even know half of the dishes on the sample menus and lists of hors d'oeuvres. But luckily the caterer is very helpful and I have plenty of time to decide (and to use google to figure out what everything is).

Now another decision I'm trying to make about the menu. Do I want to have alcohol or not? I just went to my brother's wedding where they had an open bar, but I definitely don't think I'll be having an open bar. I'm thinking of just having beer and wine. Either that or I'll just have soft drinks. We'll see what other people think.

Getting Married

I'm getting married!!! On May 22, 2010. To Andrew, my best friend. We got engaged on August 5th in Silverton, Colorado. It was a beautiful little town in the middle of the Colorado Rockies. He proposed in a gazebo on the green at the edge of town. It was perfect.

I started planning and decided to get married in Pittsburgh, where we just moved. This blog is going to be about all the wedding planning, and any thoughts Andrew and I have about the upcoming wedding and the planning process.
